Review fitment
Look for fluid loss and check which brakes and tyres are fitted. Ask whether the seller can leave the car cold.

Drivetrain warning, coolant loss or a shift that feels different? Send the exact warning and your VIN so we can identify the fitted system and agree the checks before repair. Fault-code scan and report from AED 150.
Car cannot be driven? Tell us whether it can roll or select neutral so we can discuss suitable collection.
Starting prices and quote scope
Fault-code scan and report. Physical tests and repair are quoted separately.
Compare prices against the equipment on the car. The gearbox figures are general Dubai market estimates.
Manual, SMG, M DCT and hybrid work are quoted individually. Ask for the total and agree any extra tests before work starts.
Engine symptoms and first checks
Choose the closest symptom. Tell us when it first appeared and whether the car was recently serviced or tuned.

Share the exact warning and whether it occurs at cold start or after warming up. Fault records guide ignition, fuel or air checks.
On turbocharged M5s, compare requested and measured boost where relevant. Use the findings to guide charge-air, ignition or fuel checks.
Record how often you top up and where the oil appears. Trace fresh oil to its source before choosing a repair.
Share what changed and when the warning first appeared. Keep any invoices or software records so the fault history can be compared.
Send the warning photo and the conditions that trigger it. Ask for fault details to be recorded before anything is cleared.
Note whether it happens from cold, after a warm restart or as engine speed changes. Share any recent oil or coolant top-ups.
Cooling-system diagnosis
Show us where fluid appears and share the exact warning. If your M5 has multiple cooling circuits, the first step is identifying which one is affected.
Tell us how often you top up and where you see residue or fluid.
Check accessible hoses, reservoirs and joints for fresh traces.
Pressure testing may help locate an external leak when appropriate.
Use the findings to identify the leaking part and affected circuit.
Check whether parts, coolant and filling are included.
Ask whether a final leak check is included after filling.
If the display tells you to stop, pull over safely and switch off. Keep the coolant cap closed while hot.
From the straight-six to M Hybrid
Send the VIN and tell us about any replacement engine, gearbox or brake conversion. The model code helps us start. The equipment on the car determines the quote.
For earlier cars or imports, dated invoices and part numbers can help confirm what is fitted. BMW M generation reference
Gear selection, tyres and driveline
Tell us whether the symptom follows a gear change, steering angle, road speed or brake input.
Confirm the installed gearbox before comparing fluid, filters and fitting. The transmission photo shows a service example.

Pads and discs by axle
Use the VIN to identify the original build, then ask the workshop to verify what is on the car, especially after a brake conversion.

G90 M Hybrid diagnostics
For charging that will not start, share the exact warning, charger used and whether another compatible charge point behaves the same way. If it stops early, record the charge level and time.
If several electrical warnings appear together, ask which 12-volt battery and supply checks are appropriate. A traction battery quote requires a separate assessment.
Confirm which high-voltage checks are available before arranging work.
Scheduled M5 maintenance
Bring the VIN, service display and recent invoices. Use them to confirm which items are due for the equipment on your M5.
Oil and filterConfirm engine, oil approval, fill quantity and the service item due.
Brake conditionCheck the fitted brake package and the condition of each axle.
Brake fluidCheck the due date separately from pad and disc condition.
Gearbox and differentialMatch fluids and procedures to the fitted units and service history.
Track use or tuningShare modifications and recent use so the assessment reflects the current setup.
Repair historyFlag repeat faults and bring invoices for previous work on the same system.
Earlier and imported M5 models
Older cars may have replacement assemblies or changes that are missing from the paperwork. Bring the records you have so the workshop can identify the equipment on the car.
Tell us if a fault returned after a previous repair. Dates, mileage and part numbers give the workshop a starting point.
Before you authorise repairs
Compare the test findings and the full job. Ask for the total, timing and written parts and labour terms.
Confirm the affected circuit and leak source.
Ask which component or system the tests point to.
Confirm the package fitted and the condition findings.
Used M5 inspection
Ask the seller for the VIN, service invoices and details of any modifications.
Before starting
Look for fluid loss and check which brakes and tyres are fitted. Ask whether the seller can leave the car cold.
During the assessment
Ask about a cold start and road test where possible. Record warning messages and shift behaviour.
Before paying
Set aside immediate repairs from maintenance due after purchase. For G90, ask whether charging can be demonstrated.
Before booking
Answers about scan pricing, brake quotes, G90 service and collection.
The starting price covers a fault-code scan and report. Agree additional tests and repair separately.
Yes. It combines a petrol engine with an electric drive system. Check the vehicle service display and confirm the oil specification by VIN.
Send the VIN and axle. Brake fitment and measured condition determine parts and price.
Tell us where it is and whether it can roll or select neutral. Confirm the recovery method and any separate charge before collection.
Ask an authorised BMW dealer to check your VIN and confirm coverage.
