Heavy correction, ceramic coating, PPF and wheels-off work are excluded. Matte finishes need a separately agreed non-polishing scope.

Correct and coat

AED 1,800 to 3,500AED 1,890 to 3,675 with 5% VAT

Exterior wash and decontamination, agreed one- or two-stage correction where safe, panel preparation and a specified ceramic coating on painted body panels. Interior care, wheel and glass coatings, PPF and extensive defect repair are separate unless itemised. Curing follows the selected product instructions.

Compare the complete quotation

Ask for the named service, areas covered, correction level, product name, preparation, drying or curing arrangements, total price including VAT, exclusions and any warranty terms. Confirm any inspection charge before proceeding. Larger SUVs and heavily contaminated interiors may exceed the planning ranges. Frozen paint, existing film and unusual finishes need a compatible scope.

What BMW detailing covers beyond a wash

Maintenance washing removes routine dirt. Detailing adds selected cleaning, surface preparation or protection according to the condition of your car. It does not mean every surface should be polished or every package includes every treatment.

Keep a cared-for car clean

A maintenance wash can suit paint and protection already in good condition. Safe washing matters whatever the service name. For routine cleaning, see our BMW cleaning service.

Refresh the cabin or gloss

Choose interior care for cabin concerns, or the combined refresh for an interior clean and suitable gloss-paint enhancement. Stain removal and defect improvement depend on the material and damage.

Correct and protect the exterior

Choose an inspected correction-and-coating scope where it offers a useful improvement. PPF, scratch repair and repainting are distinct jobs. A coating does not fill missing paint or make the car maintenance-free.

Look closely

Signs Your BMW Paint Needs Detailing

Most paint problems are easiest to see under direct sun or a torch at night. Walk around the car and look for these.

Spider web swirls

Fine circles around a light source, usually from automatic washes or dirty cloths.

Dull or hazy panels

The roof and bonnet lose depth first because they take the most sun.

Rough feel

Paint that feels gritty after washing has bonded contamination.

Water spot rings

Hard water and sprinkler water leave mineral rings that etch in the heat.

Marks from droppings

Bird droppings left in the sun can etch a dull patch into the clear coat.

Brown wheels

BMW brake dust bakes onto the rims and becomes hard to remove.

Restoring the gloss

Paint Correction for BMW Swirls and Haze

Correction levels the clear coat with machine polishing so light reflects evenly again. The right level depends on the paint condition and paint history and safe scope for material removal. Standard gauges normally read total coating thickness on suitable metal panels, not clear coat alone. Plastic panels need suitable equipment. Readings and a test spot inform the decision without guaranteeing a safe polishing allowance.

Stage 1

Enhancement polish

A suitable finishing polish can lift gloss and reduce light swirls. A test spot confirms the likely result; newness or lease status alone does not decide the method.

Light defects
Stage 2

Two step correction

A cutting stage followed by finishing may improve suitable wash marks and haze. The agreed correction level depends on paint condition and test results.

Moderate defects
Stage 3

Multi step correction

More intensive work is considered only where the finish permits it. Some defects should remain rather than removing excessive paint. Age and dark colour alone do not justify heavier correction.

Heavy defects

A fingernail catching a scratch is a rough severity clue, not a depth measurement. We inspect and test before deciding whether improvement is safe. Defects needing paint repair can be assessed by our scratch repair team handles.

Keeping it that way

Ceramic Coating and Paint Protection Film Compared

After any necessary correction, protection can help maintain the finish, but washing and exposure still matter. The three common options do different jobs, and the right choice depends on where you park, how far you drive and how long you plan to keep the car.

Sealant or waxCeramic coatingPaint protection film

Ceramic coating does not make paint scratch-proof or prevent water spots. PPF does not prevent every impact or chip. Durability and warranty depend on product, preparation, coverage and care. Coatings for film, wheels and glass require compatible products and explicitly agreed coverage. See our BMW paint protection page for film options.

BMW Leather and Interior Detailing

BMW interiors can combine natural leather, Sensatec or Veganza synthetic upholstery, textiles, open-pore wood, coated trim and screens. Identify each surface before treatment. Sand, sunscreen, spills and dye transfer need different approaches; cleaning cannot guarantee removal of permanent staining or repair worn finishes.

Leather

Use compatible care for Dakota, Vernasca or Merino leather, and suitable products for Sensatec or Veganza. Care cannot guarantee against cracking. Perforated seats and textile or suede-like inserts need particular care.

Piano black trim

Remove loose grit first, then use a compatible cleaner and clean soft microfibre. Coated trim and open-pore wood should not automatically be polished.

Screens and iDrive

Use a product and cloth compatible with the display coating. Avoid spraying into screens, switches or seams.

Carpets and mats

Vacuum first, then use suitable spot treatment or extraction where appropriate. Material, stain condition and adequate drying determine the result and handover time.

Headliner

Spot cleaned gently, as too much liquid can loosen the glue.

Odours

Assess the source first. Water ingress, mould or HVAC faults may need separate work. Cabin-filter inspection or replacement is included only when listed in the quote.

The finishing touches

Wheels, Trim and Glass Detailing

The parts around the paint make a big difference to how finished a car looks. A glossy body with brown wheels and faded trim still looks neglected, so their coverage should be clear in the selected package.

01

Wheels and calipers

Use finish-compatible products on accessible wheel surfaces. Wheels-off cleaning and deeper caliper access are separately agreed; cleaning does not repair corrosion or damaged coatings.

02

Kidney grilles and trim

Identify gloss, matte, coated and textured surfaces before treatment. Suitable cleaning or dressing may improve appearance; damaged finishes are not always recoverable.

03

Glass

Clean accessible glass and assess mineral deposits. Etching may need separate treatment and may not be fully removable. Protect tint films and existing coatings with compatible products.

04

Door shuts and sills

Clean accessible jambs and sills while protecting electrical components. Treat seals with compatible products and avoid removing required lubricant from hinges or mechanisms.

Local conditions

Caring for BMW paint in Dubai

Sun exposure, abrasive dust and contaminants affect maintenance needs. Condition also depends on the finish, previous repairs, washing and parking. Shade can reduce exposure, while trees can introduce sap and droppings.

Assess the actual condition rather than scheduling abrasive correction solely from parking location. Tell us where your BMW spends its days and we will suggest protection to match, rather than selling you the most expensive option.

UV

Long-term sunlight exposure can affect paint and trim. Select protection for the actual surface and product specification, without assuming a guaranteed lifespan.

Sand

Fine sand on the paint acts like sandpaper when it is wiped dry or brushed off.

Heat

Panel temperatures in summer speed up etching from droppings and water spots.

Humidity

Morning dew mixes with dust and dries into a crust on cars parked outside.

Match the service to the finish

Choose a detailing scope that suits your BMW

The condition and materials decide the work. A newer car may need only gentle preparation, while an older car with thin or repainted areas may be unsuitable for aggressive correction. We explain useful improvements and sensible limits before you approve.

01

Interior care

Choose this when sand, spills, sunscreen or a tired cabin are the main concern. Confirm seating materials, stain treatment, carpet extraction and drying. A photo can help, but you can enquire without one.

02

Refresh inside and out

Choose this for a cabin clean and improved gloss where a light enhancement is safe. It includes the refresh scope in the price section, not guaranteed scratch removal. Existing protection may alter the preparation and sealant choice.

03

Correct and coat

Choose this for suitable paint defects and longer-lasting product-specific protection. Agree the test-spot result, coating product and body-panel coverage. Add interior work, wheels, glass or film only when needed and separately priced.

Frozen paint and existing film need a different approach

Do not apply a gloss-paint polishing package to matte paint, matte film or a wrap. Use finish-approved cleaning and protection. With existing PPF or ceramic coating, inspect its condition and follow the product instructions before decontamination, removal or reapplication. We do not assume every old layer needs replacing.

How the job runs

Our BMW Detailing Process

The stages below describe a combined exterior and interior visit. We use only the stages included and appropriate to your package. Cleaning and preparation come before any polishing; interior drying and coating cure times are planned into the handover.

1

Inspect

We look at the paint under lights with you and agree what the detail should achieve.

2

Wash and decontaminate

Pre-wash and contact wash, then finish-compatible chemical decontamination where needed. Clay can mar paint and is used only where appropriate.

3

Measure

Assess finish history, edges and defects. Suitable readings and a test spot inform the least aggressive useful approach; a standard gauge does not isolate remaining clear coat.

4

Correct

Polish gloss paint only where appropriate, at the agreed level. Skip abrasive correction on matte finishes and surfaces unsuitable for it.

5

Protect

Sealant, ceramic coating or film applied, with curing time allowed.

6

Interior

Material-specific vacuuming, cleaning and agreed extraction. Steam is not applied indiscriminately to screens, adhesives, leather or electronics. Allow adequate drying.

7

Handover

A final check in daylight and aftercare advice for the coating or film.

Paint colour matters

BMW Colours That Show Every Mark

Some BMW colours hide defects and some show everything. Your colour changes how often a detail is worth doing and which protection pays off. BMW Individual, Frozen paint, repainted panels and wraps require finish-specific assessment. Colour alone does not establish a safe correction method.

Black Sapphire and Carbon Black

Show every swirl and water spot. Inspect first; careful washing is essential and correction is chosen only where appropriate.

Alpine White and Mineral White

Hide swirls but show tar, iron spots and yellowing on trim.

Grey metallics

Forgiving day to day, but haze on the roof and bonnet still dulls the flake.

Blue metallics

Colours such as Portimao Blue look deep when corrected and flat when hazy.

Frozen matte finishes

Avoid abrasive polishing and ordinary gloss-enhancing waxes. Use products explicitly approved for the matte finish, including specialist matte protection where permitted.

Timing a detail

Detailing Before Selling or After Buying a BMW

When you detail matters almost as much as how. These are useful times to consider an inspection; improved appearance does not guarantee a higher sale price.

Before selling

A corrected, clean car photographs better and shows buyers it was cared for. Swirls and a stained cabin are often the first things a buyer points to when negotiating.

After buying used

A material-appropriate clean refreshes the cabin. Inspect paint before polishing to assess previous repairs, existing film or coating and defects needing separate work. Protection can then be selected for the prepared finish if needed.

New from the showroom

Inspect new cars for transport marks and contamination first. If the finish is suitable, unnecessary polishing can be avoided before compatible protection is applied.

Straight answers

What Detailing Cannot Fix

A good detail makes a big difference, but some problems sit deeper than the clear coat. We would rather tell you before the work than after it.

Deep scratches

If a scratch reaches the colour coat or primer, polishing only softens the edges. It needs touch up or paint work.

Stone chips

Chips on the bonnet and bumper are missing paint. They can be touched in, compatible film can reduce some future chip risks.

Failing clear coat

Peeling or delaminating clear coat cannot be restored by polishing. Dullness or oxidation needs assessment before choosing correction or refinishing.

Dents and dings

Door dings stay visible after polishing. Paintless dent repair or body work deals with those.

Torn leather

Compatible cleaning may improve appearance, but worn coatings, splits and holes need separate trim assessment.

Cloudy headlights

Some surface deterioration can be restored with a suitable process and renewed UV protection. Cracks or internal damage need separate assessment.

Between details

Caring for Your BMW Between Details

Poor washing methods can introduce swirls. A few simple habits keep corrected paint and a fresh coating looking right for much longer, and they cost nothing.

Do

  • Rinse sand off before touching the paint
  • Use a pH neutral shampoo and clean mitts
  • Dry with a soft drying towel or air
  • Remove droppings the same day
  • Park in suitable shade; fit a suitable clean cover only to a clean car

Avoid

  • Brush type automatic washes
  • Wiping dusty paint with a dry cloth
  • Dish soap or strong degreasers on coated paint
  • Washing in direct midday sun
  • Waxing over a ceramic coating unless advised

Some marks need more than a polish. These pages cover the repairs and finishes that often go together with a detail, from chip repair and film to tint and full colour changes.

Clear arrangements

Your detailing quotation and handover

Compare the work and products as well as the headline price. The final inspection should confirm the agreed service and explain how to care for the result.

Before work starts

Record the finish, existing damage and areas covered. Agree useful correction and stain-treatment goals, with photographs or a test spot where available. Ask which marks are unlikely to improve and what additional work would cost.

Products and protection

The quote should identify the coating or sealant, application surfaces, preparation and any warranty. Do not assume a generic ceramic label means a particular brand, durability or installer accreditation. Written product-specific terms matter.

Ready for collection

Check the agreed areas under suitable lighting, with dry upholstery and product-required curing completed for release. Receive the first-wash advice, maintenance requirements and instructions for reporting concerns. Ongoing care and exposure affect durability.

Your questions answered

BMW detailing questions

Understand the scope, finish care and next step before arranging your visit.

What is included in BMW car detailing?

Choose the service for your concern. Interior care covers agreed cabin cleaning. Refresh adds exterior preparation, suitable light gloss-paint enhancement and sealant. Correct and coat focuses on exterior correction and specified body-panel coating. PPF, repairs and extra surfaces are included only when itemised.

How much does BMW detailing cost in Dubai?

Market planning ranges before VAT are AED 350 to 800 for interior care, AED 900 to 1,600 for refresh, and AED 1,800 to 3,500 for correct and coat. With 5% VAT these are AED 367.50 to 840, AED 945 to 1,680 and AED 1,890 to 3,675. These are estimates for the stated scopes, not fixed offers.

Is polishing included with ceramic coating?

The correct-and-coat estimate includes agreed correction where safe, but not every car needs aggressive polishing. The quote identifies preparation and correction separately from coating application. Existing finishes, previous repairs and a test spot guide the choice.

Can detailing remove scratches?

Suitable swirls and shallow defects may be improved by controlled polishing. A fingernail test does not measure scratch depth. Deep damage, missing paint or a thin finish may make further correction unsuitable. We explain which marks are likely to remain.

Does ceramic coating prevent scratches and water spots?

No. It can improve cleaning and provide product-specific protection, but paint can still scratch and mineral deposits can still form. PPF reduces certain chip and abrasion risks but does not prevent every impact. Care instructions remain important.

How long does detailing take?

Cabin cleaning and enhancement can require several hours; correction, drying and coating curing may extend the visit over more than one day. We confirm expected handover after assessing the scope and product. Collection time and the time before washing are different.

When can I wash the car after coating or film?

Follow the instructions for the exact installed product. We explain initial water exposure, curing, first-wash timing and suitable maintenance at handover. There is no single waiting period that applies to every coating and film.

Can Frozen matte paint be detailed?

Yes, with a compatible non-polishing scope. Avoid abrasive polishing and ordinary gloss-enhancing waxes. Some specialist matte protection products are permitted by their manufacturers; use only products approved for the particular finish.

Do Sensatec and Veganza need leather conditioner?

They are synthetic upholstery and should receive compatible care rather than an automatic natural-leather treatment. Identify the fitted material first. Perforations, textiles, screens and headliners also require controlled cleaning methods and moisture.

How often should a BMW be detailed?

Base cleaning and protection maintenance on use, contamination and product instructions. Abrasive correction is not automatically needed every six or twelve months. Careful washing can maintain the result without repeatedly removing paint.

Will detailing remove an interior smell?

Cleaning may improve odours from identified contamination, but leaks, dampness, mould or HVAC problems can require separate work. We discuss the source and realistic limits before treatment rather than promising permanent removal with fragrance.

Can you work on an already coated or wrapped BMW?

Tell us about known coatings, PPF, wraps or recent paintwork. We assess the existing surface and use compatible methods. Product details and installation records help if available, but are not required for an initial enquiry.

Do you clean engine bays?

Engine-bay cleaning is a separate, vehicle-specific scope rather than an automatic part of the packages above. Electrical components, exposed connectors, modifications and hybrid or electric systems need appropriate precautions. Discuss it when requesting the service.

Do you collect the car and are photos required?
