Independent BMW workshop in Al Quoz
BMW M8 Repair in Dubai
Drivetrain warning, brake vibration or coolant loss? Our Al Quoz workshop checks the fitted system before recommending parts. A fault-code scan and report starts at AED 150. Mechanical testing and repairs are quoted separately.
If a warning tells you to stop or the car cannot be driven safely, pull over and call to discuss recovery.

Starting prices
BMW M8 service and repair costs
- Fault-code scan and report
- From AED 150
- M oil and filter service
- From AED 750
The scan includes the initial fault-code report. The oil price is a starting rate for the M oil and filter service. Confirm the fitted total and agree any additional testing before it starts.
From symptom to first check
Tell us when the fault appears
Send the exact warning and describe what the car was doing when it appeared. That helps separate an engine fault, a shift problem and vibration from tyres or brakes.
Intermittent fault? Bring a photo of the warning and say whether it happened at start-up, under load or after the car warmed up.
Trace coolant loss to its source

Cooling system diagnosis
Identify the circuit before choosing parts
Tell us the warning, how often you top up and where you first saw coolant. Coolant can collect on the undertray away from the leak. An inspection and pressure test, where appropriate, help identify the affected circuit before quoting a reservoir, hose, pump or radiator.
If the display tells you to stop Pull over safely and switch off. Keep the coolant cap closed while hot.

After a wheel or tyre change
What to check before blaming M xDrive
If shudder or vibration starts after one tyre or a set of wheels is changed, bring the invoice and share what was fitted. The M8 can use different front and rear sizes, so compare them with the approved combination for the car.
Vibration at road speed and binding on a tight turn call for different checks. If tyre fitment and wear are correct, ask which further checks are needed before approving a transfer case or differential repair. See BMW wheel alignment if the car pulls or wears a tyre unevenly.
Compare the fitted work
Compare three M8 repair scopes
A useful quote names the work, the parts and the checks included at handover. Compare the same scope and ask for the expected completion date before you approve it.
Ask for the confirmed leak source and the circuit being repaired.
- Listed parts, seals and access labour
- Correct coolant and filling procedure
- Final leak check included
Ask which axle and brake package the estimate covers.
- M Compound or M Carbon Ceramic fitment
- Wear readings, sensors and hardware
- Fitted price and any separate checks
Ask which unit failed and what evidence supports the work.
- Fluid, seals or related parts included
- Required setup or adaptation if applicable
- Verification under the original conditions
Service planning and handover
Plan your M8 service from the records
Bring the records
Share the VIN, mileage and invoices. Mention tuning, track use and wheel changes so the service can account for the car’s history.
Confirm the oil
Check the approval and quantity for the fitted engine and agree which filters are due.
Check the brakes
Review the brake fluid due date separately from measured pad and disc wear.
Identify the driveline unit
Confirm the correct fluid specification and check when the unit was last serviced.
Review at collection
Check the invoice, completed tests and anything to monitor. Ask which due items remain on the service display.
Before you buy
What to check on a used M8
A pre-purchase inspection is most useful when it covers the car’s actual specification and previous work. Ask about BMW pre-purchase inspections.
Read the service historyMatch invoices to the car’s VIN and mileage. Ask about unresolved warnings, prior coolant or drivetrain work and any changes to the original specification.
See the car from coldAsk the seller to leave it cold before the visit. Record any rough running or warning on start-up and ask whether it also happens warm.
Check the fitted equipmentConfirm the brake package and wheel sizes. Test the equipment specific to the body style, such as the Convertible roof or the Gran Coupé’s rear doors and windows.
Agree what the inspection includesAsk what can be checked on a lift and whether a road test is practical. Request a written distinction between work due now and items to monitor.
BMW M8 repair questions
Does the scan include mechanical or leak testing?
The starting price covers a scan and fault-code report. Agree physical checks and repairs separately.
Does every slow-turn shudder require transfer case work?
Tyre fitment and wear can affect the symptom. Check tyres and the relevant driveline findings before choosing parts.
Can you collect the car if it cannot be driven?
Share its location, exact warning and whether it can roll or select neutral. Confirm the recovery method and any separate charge.
Can I book service if my M8 has been tuned?
Tell the workshop what was changed and when the symptom started. Bring any invoices and mention whether the car has been returned to standard. The scope can then be agreed for the fitted setup.
Does the M8 Competition badge identify the brake package?
Confirm the fitted package by VIN and physical inspection. BMW offered M Compound brakes and optional M Carbon Ceramic brakes, so the quote needs to identify the actual hardware.
